October 16, 2025 – Cura Software Solutions hosted a landmark webinar titled “Unlocking the Next Era of GRC,” showcasing its latest innovations in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) technology. The event featured global thought leader Michael Rasmussen, founder of GRC 2020 Research, and introduced Cura’s powerful new Data Analytics and Predictive Analytics solutions designed to transform how organizations manage risk.

With over 190 professionals attending from across industries and geographies, the webinar delivered a compelling vision for the future of GRC, one that is intelligent, adaptive, and deeply integrated into business strategy.

Michael Rasmussen, widely regarded as the “father of GRC,” opened the session with a keynote that challenged conventional approaches to risk management. “We’re managing issues, not risks,” he said. “By the time we gather all this information and build the report, we’re dealing with the past. Predictive AI helps us focus on the road ahead.”

Rasmussen emphasized the need for organizations to shift from reactive, rearview-mirror reporting to forward-looking, data-driven decision-making. He introduced the concept of GRC 7.0, “GRC Orchestrate”, a new generation of governance, risk, and compliance powered by Agentic AI and Digital Twins.

“Predictive AI becomes the technological conductor of your risk orchestra,” he explained. “It helps us see patterns, intersections, and cascading risks across departments, enabling a rhythm of GRC that’s responsive and forward-looking.”

At the heart of this transformation is Cura’s Data Analytics solution, also known as Continuous Control Monitoring (CCM). This capability enables organizations to automate control testing, monitor transactions in real time, and detect anomalies across enterprise systems such as ERP, HR, finance, and procurement.

Key features of Cura’s Data Analytics (CCM) solution include:

  • Real-Time Monitoring: Continuous scanning of control activities and transactions to detect failures or exceptions instantly.
  • Automated Compliance Checks: Built-in rules and logic to validate business processes against regulatory and internal standards.
  • Exception Alerts: Immediate notifications for control breaches, fraud indicators, or policy violations.
  • Interactive Dashboards: Visual insights for audit, risk, and compliance teams to act quickly and confidently.
  • Scalable Architecture: Designed to handle high-volume data environments across global operations.

“CCM is the heartbeat of modern GRC,” said Bonga Welcome, host of the webinar. “It’s not just about data, it’s about assurance, agility, and smarter decisions.”

Complementing CCM is Cura’s Predictive Analytics engine, which uses artificial intelligence to forecast risk scenarios, simulate outcomes, and guide strategic responses. This solution integrates internal GRC data with external feeds, such as geopolitical risk indicators, regulatory updates, and market trends, to provide a 360-degree view of risk.

Rasmussen elaborated on the value of predictive analytics: “It’s about actual measurable risk reduction. Better managed risk means less exposure, and that’s a significant value.”

Cura’s Predictive Analytics solution offers:

  • Scenario Modeling: Digital twins simulate enterprise environments to test “what-if” scenarios and evaluate risk impact.
  • AI-Driven Forecasting: Machine learning algorithms analyze patterns to predict emerging threats and opportunities.
  • Risk Orchestration: Intelligent agents interpret data, make decisions, and recommend actions aligned with business objectives.
  • Strategic Alignment: Insights are contextualized to support mission, values, and performance goals.

Rama Pochinapeddi, a senior leader at Cura, emphasized the strategic value of these innovations: “With Cura’s analytics platform, we’re not just identifying risks, we’re enabling organizations to act on them in real time. That’s the difference between compliance and true resilience.”

Srikanth Porika, who leads product innovation at Cura, added: “Our goal is to empower risk and compliance teams with tools that are not only intelligent but intuitive. Predictive analytics and continuous monitoring are no longer optional, they’re essential for modern enterprises.”

Together, these solutions enable organizations to move from static compliance to dynamic risk intelligence. Cura’s platform empowers Chief Risk Officers, compliance leaders, and audit teams to become strategic navigators, steering their organizations safely through uncertainty.

“GRC should not be the handbrake,” Rasmussen concluded. “It should be the navigation system helping your business steer safely toward its objectives.”

The webinar also addressed the importance of data quality and system integration. Rasmussen noted that successful automation projects require consistency across platforms: “Companies must ensure data integrity when integrating with systems like ERP and HR. That’s where Cura’s architecture stands out, it’s built for interoperability and scale.”

Cura’s launch of these advanced analytics capabilities marks a significant milestone in the evolution of GRC technology. By combining continuous monitoring with predictive foresight, Cura is helping organizations unlock new levels of efficiency, resilience, and strategic agility.
